Each of theese cards was printed using a photographic process invented in 1842 by Herschel. Called the Cyanotype process. A light sensitive chemical liquid is painted onto a thick watercolour paper and is then exposed to the sun. The UV rays turn the image darker and then the whole thing is washed clean the remaining colour is blue as the chemical is oxidized it gets darker.
each print is one of a kind .T he image is then adhered to the card with acid free tape.
